DERMAL FILLERS
Before your appointment:
3 days before:
Avoid using exfoliating agents such as Retin-A, acids, toners, or any skin irritants on the treatment area
Do not pluck, tweeze, or wax the treatement area
Avoid taking Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Gingko Biloba, and St. Johns Wort
Avoid taking over-the-counter blood thinning medications such as Aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Naproxen, Excederin, and other common pain relievers. Tylenol is OK if you require pain relief.
Note: if you have been prescribed a blood thinner by a healthcare practitioner do not discontinue without consulting them first.
24 hours before:
Avoid consuming alcohol
Fill out the online intake form!
After your appointment:
24 hours after treatment:
Ice the area for 15 minutes every hour for pain management & to reduce bruising and swelling
Do not wear makeup
If absolutely have to - wear mineral make-up
Stay upright for the first 4 hours following treatment
Avoid rigorous exercise
Avoid extreme heat such as direct sun, tanning beds, steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga, etc...

For lip fillers - avoid mouth actions such as drinking through a straw, smoking, kissing, and biting into apples for 24 hours. Apply vaseline to the lips for the first 24 hours to keep them hydrated!

Do not have any other aesthetic treatments for 2-3 weeks after treatment

For the first hour after treatment, move the facial muscles treated
Example: if you had treatment in the forehead area - practice frowning, raising brows up, etc...
Do not wear makeup for 4 hours after injections
If absolutely have to - wear mineral make-up
Stay upright for the first 4 hours following treatment
Do not massage the area treated or have any other aesthetic treatments to the area for at least 2 weeks
Avoid rigorous exercise
Avoid extreme heat such as direct sun, tanning beds, steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga, etc...

2 weeks following treatment:
The full effect of neuromodulator treatment will be apparent at 2 weeks. We recommend booking a 2 week follow-up, especially if this is your first neuromodulator treatment with us

After your appointment:
It is common to experience irritation including swelling, redness, itching, numbness, bruising, and induration. This typically lasts between 5-14 days.
Ice the area after treatment for 20 minutes per hour, alternating between 15 seconds on and 15 seconds off
Do not apply ice directly to the skin, wrap in a towel first!
There is a risk of frostbite to the area if ice is applied for too long, or is applied directly on the skin
Avoid strenuous activities for 3 days
Sleep with your head elevated for the first week post-treatment
Do not pick, scratch, or massage the treatment area
Book a follow-up appointment at one month post treatment
